Exelon Corporation is an American Fortune 100 energy company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. It generates revenues of approximately $33.5 billion and employs approximately 33,400 people. Exelon is the largest electric parent company in the United States by revenue, the largest regulated utility in the United States with approximately 10 million customers, and also the largest operator of nuclear power plants in the United States. It was created in October 2000 by the merger of PECO Energy Company of Philadelphia and Unicom Corp of Chicago, which owned Commonwealth Edison. Exelon is incorporated in Pennsylvania.
This company sucks. This fucking company just doesn't realize that happy people are productive people. This fucking company loves to manage by fear and intimidation. One of the worst leadership of this company, then how could serve people and their country. They just know how to sucks people's blood. They threaten both government and people of the United State of America.
A disgruntled employee says "Unfortunately with all the good the company does right, it does just as much, if not more wrong for the employees. Exelon touts their benefits and pays compensation like sites like Glassdoor and LinkedIn don't exist. These are middle of the road at best if not subpar at this point. The biggest problem is career stagnation and outright mismanagement. There are a ton of directors walking around at Exelon that simply don't belong in that role. Nepotism is real, even if senior management denies it. The company also suffers from a ton of roadblocks at middle management positions forcing young talent to look elsewhere for career advancement"
Exelon Sucks because their own employees are not satisfied with their policies and management system.
Former Employee - Team Member says"Rampant mistreatment of women, discrimination against non-diverse candidates to meet corporate "goals", employees receiving racially motivated threats, and ex-cons leading efforts to determine shared values and leadership competencies (what a joke). Favorites are selected and allowed to treat others badly, backstab and bully while leaders look the other way. This company has a great propaganda machine and wins many awards, but it's actually a very ugly place. The pay is also low."

Staff Accountant (Current Employee) says"This was supposed to be a step towards building my career. Unfortunately, the management staff does not know how to manage or engage their employees. They do now know how to hire or place the right Sr's or leads in the appropriate roles. The leads are equally if not more demanding and volatile then the managers themselves. The Sr accountant I reported to berated everyone below her pay grade. The managers did nothing to correct her arrogant, berating behavior. Several staff accountants have left prior to me starting, which I left within 8 months of starting due to the poor management of the team. It was a very volatile and hostile work place. The work hours would be tolerable if management was not so incompetent. During Year end the average was 70 hours per week. During month end 50 to 60 hours per week. Even if you put in your time, and work hard to meet your expectations, that is still not good enough. You will still get a lousy review and a terrible bonus for your hard work. Enjoy your time at Exelon. Cons: Hours, Management, Culture, Attitudes"

Technical Writer III/Content Writer (Contract) says"Just a short contract job-- thankfully. I was hired to fill in for another contract worker. She had met ComEd's limit of 2 years per contract. She then had to take a personality test to determine if she fit with ComEd culture. She fit fine because her submissiveness, lack of self-trust, below par skills, and willingness to play secretary kept the immediate supervisor's ego in check as superior. Another supervisor complains that previous employer was better (after 3 years at ComEd) and that ComEd doesn't do anything right with technology or procedures yet he's first to complain if any improvement processes are initiated."

Your job is very tedious that your brain becomes dumb down and logic goes out the door. It would be very difficult to transfer your skills when you try to change jobs outside the company or to another position within. New ideas of streamlining the processes are frowned upon. Management claims to value creativity, which is a lie. NOT a good place for young people. Cons: Constant sword of hanging over your head and the stress of meeting impossible expectations"

Security Lead (Former Employee) says"You work 3/4 quarters of the year. Their is no work life balance and constant required overtime. If your not in with the group of workers, then your constantly harassed. The culture with exelon is everyone talks behind peoples back. Supervision/ Management tries to be buddy buddy but will leave people to fend for themselves. Management treats workers as children and not as adults. If you become managements favorites then minimal advancement is possible but not assured. Once your in the security department there is now way to advance further unless you possess skills other than need for other departments otherwise your shunned. The security department is considered as low grade compared to the other departments on the sites. Will need to watch your back to survive. Cons: too many to list"

Functions are being removed from the nuclear sites; however, the corporate support isn't adequate to replace the personnel being removed for consolidation at the corporate level. Often asked to do far more work with less personnel and resources. Culture is not one that makes people excited to come to work each day."

It’s never enough for management no matter how much you work. They do not care at all about your family life or other commitments and responsibilities you may have as a working adult. It’s all about what can you do for the company. Cons: Literally everything except for the pay."

Sent 5 emails, left multi voice message with no reply. The TV has not shipped yet! So now im just trying to cancel that order and buy from somewhere else since it seems it will never arrive. But nobody replies to my messages! Don't waste your time even if their prices look attractive."
